STOP PRESS: TEMPORARY AIR DOME APPLICATION
Dear members
IMPORTANT REQUEST FOR PARK CLUB MEMEBRS’ SUPPORT: PROPOSED MULTI-USE GAMES COURTS AND TEMPORARY AIR DOME AT THE PARK CLUB
After several years of consultation and discussion with planning experts and planning officers, we now feel that we are in the best possible position to have our application for a temporary Autumn / Winter indoor sports hall granted by Ealing Council. However, the application has been registered and put on public consultation quite suddenly and as this finishes on 2 August 2010, we now need to get as much support as possible by this date.
The Proposal
The proposal is to remove 5 tennis courts and associated floodlighting and fencing and replace with an artificial grass multi-use games area with temporary air dome effective annually from 15 October to 15 April.

Why support this planning application?
• The proposal will significantly broaden the scope of sports which can be undertaken on the site with provision for sports including indoor tennis, badminton, football, cricket, basketball, netball.
• The proposal will significantly improve facilities for younger members of the club, including the provision of supervised play space;
• The proposal will enable the year round use of the facility by all members;
• The proposal will not be visually intrusive having regard to its position, design and colour, and the landscaping improvements proposed for the site. The application is for a dome that will be removed for the spring and summer months thereby returning the current vista when most members are enjoying the outdoor space.
Thank you in anticipation of your support.
