Swimming Pool Redevelopment
Members, as you will have noticed, preparatory works have commenced in advance of an extensive redevelopment of the indoor swimming pool.
The £150,000 redevelopment plan will include; a new air handling system, new levels of insulation, a new stretch wave effect ceiling, new lighting (bright and mood) and a new multi-level area to the teaching pool.
During these developments access to the indoor pool will be affected, although access to the outdoor pool will remain open. From 12 December the indoor pools will be drained and the new ceiling erected, although access to the outdoor pool will remain available.
Throughout this period the majority of work will take place at night. However, access to the jacuzzi spa and steam room will have to be withdrawn as required and some noise will occur to get the project finished as quickly as possible. It is anticipated that these works will be completed by Christmas, subject to any unexpected snags.
