I have been working in the fitness industry for 15 years, starting as a pre and postnatal instructor (NCT, YMCA trained) and then adding aerobics (YMCA) aqua aerobics (YMCA) and finally yoga (British Wheel of Yoga). In between I also taught a hybrid mix of pilates/yoga classes. If it involves any form of movement I have always enjoyed it and hope that I pass on my enthusiasm to class participants. My aim is to make my classes enjoyable because that way I hope I will see you again, and you will get to keep fit too!

Aqua aerobics is fantastic for cardio fitness and is kinder on the joints than pounding the pavements. It can add variety to your fitness schedule as it is no easy option! It is up to you how hard you work - the more you put into it the more you get out of it…like most things in life.

Outside of being a fitness instructor I enjoy walking, running and visiting art galleries. A bit of shopping is always good too. However as I have recently trained to be a school teacher I am unable to indulge in these leisure activities as often as I'd like to! I joined the Park Club just after it opened so that my two children, now 14 and 17, (both very sporty) could reap the benefits of this fantastic facility. Alex is now a lifeguard here and my husband attends spinning classes, loves the gym and takes part in any competitive event going.
