Patrick Fisher
Patrick has always been a keen enthusiast when it comes to keeping fit. From the age of 12 he was competing at both Borough and County level in cross country. Pat completed his last London Marathon in 2001 (3hours 30mins) and while running has always been a passion of his, he hasn’t managed to keep it up as much as he did in his youth – something he’s now attempting to recapture!
Aside from running, Patrick has always played and enjoyed many different sports. As a schoolboy he represented the Borough at football and even briefly played semi-professionally as an adult, before realising this was an uphill struggle he was not going to win. He also spent many an afternoon on the rugby pitch for his school team and wishes that back then, he had the bulk that he has now!
Growing up he, like many others, was inspired by Sir Stephen Redgrave and as a result has always enjoyed rowing, He has posted times at 2000m as quick as 6.40 in the past and is hoping this can be improved on as an ‘older’ athlete.
Aside from this Patrick has a joint honours degree in Sports Science and Sociology.
