Swimming
Swimming is a fundamental part of sport and relaxation for members of The Park Club. There is a choice of indoor pools adjacent to the spa pool and steam room, as well as our magnificent 25 metre outdoor pool adjacent to 1.5 acres of sunbathing / relaxation area. Heated all year round to 30 degrees, the outdoor pool is a real winter treat, whether during the day or in the evening – until the club closes!
Private lessons
Private lessons for adults of all abilities are available at various times from Monday to Saturday.
Group Swimming
The Park Club TriStars is another new initiative here at the club, with members competing regularly in both local and national triathlons. TriStars Swim (as its title suggests!) allows adults to improve their performance in swimming aspect of their triathlon or to simply improve upon their stroke under the expert supervision that our coaches offer. This class is free to members.
Adult learn to swim classes are also available for a nominal charge as it is one our central aims to ensure that every member here at the club is able to swim.
For further swim related information, please ask at reception, speak to our swim coaches directly or contact Rob Clarke, our Pools Manager, rob@theparkclub.co.uk
British Gas and Swimming at The Park Club
For the first time ever, we are proud to announce that we have entered into an exclusive partnership with British Gas.
The Park Club and its members have long believed in the importance of swimming, as a sport and also as a means of relaxation. A passion and belief shared with British Gas.
By coming together we can help support British Gas as they improve swimming up and down the country from paddling pool to podium. British Gas have already achieved a great deal for the nation's swimmers; from teaching over 10,000 children to swim in the British Gas Pools4Schools programme to backing the nation's best on the road to 2012.
It's this wealth of experience that British Gas will bring to the partnership, working together with The Park Club to make more of our time in the water; with master classes from top athletes, new equipment for the pool area and exclusive offers on gas and electricity.
